Background Story

I've been playing Travian for almost a year now. 2 rounds on USx to be precise. Half of round 3, all of round 4, and now half of round 5 (the current round) is behind us.

Travian is a free webbased war game. For those of us who want an extra edge, you can purchase gold for the game and then use the gold to give you bonuses in game. The bonuses are things like boosting your production rate 25% for 3 days, giving your account bonuses for 3 days (allowing you to build multiple buildings at once, sending merchants someone twice, etc).

It's a fun little timesink but not as demanding of your time as the MMO's that are out there (you don't HAVE to be at your computer from 8pm til 1am to help kill a boss).

The story I will relay in the posts that follow are about the parent company, Travian, and their shady business practices and billing policies.
